Submission Guidelines
Tatar Gallery accepts year-round submissions from artists, and is interested in new and exciting works that both inspire and challenge viewers. We are currently seeking work that creatively explores new avenues in traditional materials or work demonstrating a strong command of new and time-based media. Selection is based on demonstrated quality, innovation, and excellence. Submissions should be illustrative of completed bodies of work with strongly developed themes.
Tatar Gallery only accepts unsolicited submissions in electronic format.
Please review the following guidelines:
- 10-15 numbered images, jpegs or mpegs only, presented chronologically (example: 01title.jpg, 02title.jpg.10title.jpg); images will not appear in proper chronological order unless the first 9 begin with a zero). Individual image files should not exceed 100KB, and the total email size should not exceed 1MB. Please do not send emails over this size restriction, as they will not be considered.
- If you are sending a video file, ensure that it can be opened with one of the following: QuickTime, RealPlayer, or Windows Media Player. In an attached MS Word file, include an image list that provides the titles, dates, media and dimensions of each work, and ensure these are numbered in a way that corresponds to the attached images so they may be easily cross-referenced.
- A current Curriculum Vitae containing all relevant educational and professional information such as exhibitions (solo and group), awards, publications, collections and articles . A detailed artist statement Please ensure all attached documents are clearly labeled to indicate their contents, and your name, email address, current mailing address, and telephone number are located at the top of each document.
- Links to websites may sent in lieu of the above, provided they contain all required information
